Welcome Message

Dear St. Joseph School Families and Friends,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of St. Joseph School. I am honored to lead a school with such a rich tradition of spiritual strength and academic excellence.  I am very passionate about Catholic education and I look forward to partnering with you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, and high quality elementary school experience.  As the parent of three children, ages 18, 15, and 4, I recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection.  Parents are every child’s first teacher and I believe that by working together, we can make sure your child’s social, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs are met.

Over the past 19 years, I served in a variety of teaching and educational leadership roles.  I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University in Woodstock, IL.  I am a strong instructional leader through my work in curriculum development, professional learning communities, and my educational background in pedagogy and learning. Along with teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the success established by the previous administration by building strong relationships with parents, students, parish members, and community partners.  We will focus on character building through the teaching of moral values, religious education competence, Common Core skills, the use of data to drive instruction, and to provide consistent implementation of direct instruction strategies to increase student achievement.

All of us at St. Joseph School are eager and excited to begin what promises to be a very positive and productive year together! As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students, and parents-are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  My door is always open and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call me or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.

I truly feel that our Lord has called me to this position!  I can’t wait to meet each and everyone of you and experience the traditions of this community.  My position officially begins in July, which will enable us to have a smooth transition and opening in August.  Please stop by and say hello!

Peace and joy,

Kari Rybarczyk

St. Joseph School, Principal
